Educator Toolkit for Indigenous People’s Day

Educator Toolkit for Indigenous People’s Day

For Indigenous People's Day 2022, we have created this special toolkit for New Orleans educators to use to teach their students about indigenous peoples. We hope you can utilize these resources to create culturally-relevant and respectful learning experiences that both honor and center indigenous people.

Protect Parent Voice!

Protect Parent Voice!

As parents, we have the right to hold our children’s schools accountable but we are often met with tactics intended to silence us, intimidate us, and prevent us from actualizing our roles as partners in educating our children. NOLA Public Schools must pass policy that protect parents’ right to advocate for their children, without the fear of being intimidated, silenced, or retaliated against.
