PUBLIC FATHERING IS HEALING

COMMUNITY IS MEDICINE

FAMILY IS POWER

BECAUSE DADS NEED A SPACE TOO

In a society that too often uses policy, media, and inaccurate narratives that isolate and denigrate Black and Brown men, Dad Krewe is a bold, healing-centered initiative that uplifts and celebrates fatherhood in all its fullness. Rooted in the cultural legacy and strength of our communities, Dad Krewe creates intentional spaces for fathers in New Orleans to gather, build relationships, reflect, and grow.

This program centers the lived experiences of Black and Brown men—fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and mentors—and affirms their vital role in raising children, sustaining family, and transforming community. Whether through shared meals, cultural rituals, peer support circles, or moments of joy with their kids, Dad Krewe honors fatherhood as both personal and political—a source of power, purpose, and connection.
